UPS delivered the large box and left it in my driveway (I was home - they didn't bother to ring the bell). It was very heavy, but my neighbor helped me carry it into the house. Assembly instructions were pretty clear, and all parts were present and well-labeled. I laid out the pieces before inserting any bolts which avoided annoying mistakes. I've assembled furniture before and never has an assembly gone so smoothly. This bed was well-crafted and all the pieces fit together really well, with the exception of the long ladder piece on one end -- I can't for the life of me get the bottom bolt to line up right. Fortunately, it's on the end I'd planned to put against a wall, so it won't be used anyway. Also, there are plastic tab-like things that are intended to keep the support rods (beneath the mattress) in place, but they were very hard to get into the holes.
